Now is a special time for the United States, which is about to reopen its economy after several months of “economic pause”, with its unemployed population exceeding 42 million. And most of his people had to find some ways to sweep out depression caused by the long-time stay-home order. 

A white woman called Amy Cooper was walking her dog on May 25 morning while Christian Cooper (no relation) was bird-watching at a wooded area of Central Park. They got into a dispute after Christian, a black man, reminded Amy that the dog was not on a leash, contrary to the area's rules.

 

Part of their encounter was recorded video, which was posted on social media and went viral rapidly. In the video, the woman frantically tells police he is threatening her and her dog.

 

"I'm taking a picture and calling the cops," Amy Cooper is heard saying in the video. "I'm going to tell them there's an African American man threatening my life."

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms addressed protesters on May 30 evening, denouncing vandalism in her city as "chaos" after demonstrations over the death of George Floyd.

Above everything else, I am a mother. I am a mother to four black children in America, one of whom is 18 years old. When I saw the murder of George Floyd, I hurt like a mother would hurt. Yesterday when I heard there’re rumors about violent protests in Atlanta, I do like a mother would do — I called my son and I said “where are you”. 

“首先，我是一个妈妈，有着四个黑皮肤孩子的妈妈，其中一个已经十八岁了。当看到弗洛伊德的死，我作为母亲感到非常痛心。昨天当我听到有关于亚特兰大的暴力示威传言时，我做了一个母亲会做的事——打电话给我的儿子，我问他“你在哪里？”

"What I see happening on the streets of Atlanta is not Atlanta. This is not a protest. This is not in the spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr. This is chaos..."

“在亚特兰大街头发生的一切不是这座城市应该发生的，那不是抗议，那不是马丁·路德金的精神，那是混乱！”

"If you want change in America, go and register to vote! …Do it in November! That is the change we need in this country." 

“如果你们真的想要改变美国，那就去投票！…..在十一月去投票！这才是这个国家需要的改变！”

If y’all don’t stop with this “go out and vote” shit. We had a whole black president and still got slaughtered in the streets, Pooh. Tell me who to vote for?!

“不要再说‘去投票’这样的鬼话了，我们已经有过一位黑人总统了，结果呢，我们还是会被在大街上残杀。你告诉我该投谁？”

Voting is not enough; America had a Black President, Black Attorney General and nothing changed. This is beyond politics; it’s systematic and endemic. Period!!!

“投票根本不够，美国曾有过黑人总统、黑人大法官，但是一切都没变。这不只是政治的问题，这是体制性的、特有的（问题）。以上！”

Voting doesn’t work. It hasn’t and it never will. Since the elite control the elections and the process. We are tired of turning the other cheek and talking. The time now is for action.

“投票没有用的，过去没用未来也没用的。因为精英们控制了大选……我们已经受够了忍辱负重，现在是时候行动了。”
